Dr. Brandon Tivis was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Trinity Christian School all the way from pre-K through high school, where he graduated as salutatorian. He was also a part of the All-Tournament Team at the state finals in basketball his junior year. He went on to attend Texas A&M University, served in Class Councils, and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biomedical sciences. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX, and was inducted into the Odonatological Honor Society. Dr. Tivis received his orthodontics specialty certificate and Master of Science degree from Saint Louis University in 2017. During residency, Dr. Tivis went on a medical and dental mission trip to Haiti as a part of THE Mission Haiti. To this day, he is still involved and provides sponsorships for children to be able to attend school and have the supplies they need. He also participated in a Cleft Palate Fellowship at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, earned the highest grade on the written board exam in his class, and completed the most orthodontic cases in his class. He conducted original research on mandibular asymmetries due to posterior crossbites using CBCT imaging.
Dr. Tivis’s journey with orthodontics is personal — he was once a patient and orthodontic assistant at the very practice where he now creates beautiful smiles. For nearly 8 years, he has been helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles with the same compassionate care he once received. He is currently a remote care key opinion leader and was chosen to be a speaker for Invisalign. He was also chosen to be a speaker and educator for Smile Doctors, the largest orthodontic organization in the country. One of his favorite parts about his job is being able to use the most advanced technology, such as 3D printing, Invisalign® aligners, and remote care to help patients achieve their dream smiles.
Dr. Tivis and his wife, Allyssa, met in college and have two daughters, Emmie and Charlotte. Outside the office, he is a proud cheer dad and enjoys spending time with his family, staying active through CrossFit, visiting the beach, and drinking iced lattes. One of his favorite quotes is “the way you do anything is the way you do everything.” Dr. Tivis is proud to combine his passion for orthodontics with his commitment to the community that has been such an important part of his life. His No. 1 goal is to do everything he can to help others obtain the confident smiles they have always wanted.
Staff is pleasant, courteous and competent. Dr Tivis is a straight baller. He’s treated all 4 of my kids. The office runs efficiently and on time. I wish every office was like this. Dr Tivis is highly professional and has excellent knowledge and skill. He is easy to talk to and explains treatment plans well. He puts kids at ease and can really connect with them. As a doctor myself with high expectations, I am always impressed.
Dr.Tivis and Kathy, also, the whole office was so nice and informative. They made us feel welcomed, answered all questions, and put our son at ease to get his new smile ready. Definitely recommend.
We had a great a experience at Sperry, Tivis Wentz orthodontics- our Treatment Coordinator, Kathy, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to help with insurance. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are lucky to have thus young lady working for them. Also, Dr. Tivis provided us with exceptional care. I highly recommend this office.
Dr. Tivis and his staff are amazing! I had a great experience from my first consultation to the completion of my treatment, everyone was professional, friendly, and attentive. They took the time to explain each step of the process and answer all of my questions.The office was always clean and welcoming, and appointments were well organized with minimal wait times.
